PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Nakhon Phanom is easy to reach by flight with daily or weekly connections from Bangkok. The airport in Nakhon Phanom is located 20km west of the city centre with a taxi into town costing a set price of 100 Baht. Mini-buses also run from Nakhon Phanom airport to the Thai-Laos friendship Bridge and Mukdahan.

  • Transfer from the airport

A MTF counter and also a special MTF immigration lane has been set up at the airport. Please go to the MTF counter to receive your bag with information regarding Nakhon Phanom, your badge and a free SIM Card which will allow you to have data roaming. MTF staff at the airport will organize your transfers.

  • Connectivity

Wifi will be available at all the venues. Each delegate bag contains a SIM Card, complimentary of a telecom company. It has been charged with a minimum amount. You will need to top-up to benefit full high speed roaming during your entire stay.

  • Currency

The Thai Baht is the national currency and many shops and services accept only Thai Baht. Credit and Debit cards are accepted in many shops. ATM all over town.

Major Nakhon Phanom attractions

  • Wat Phra That Phanom Open Daily 6:00-20:00.  Admission is free of charge.
  • Wat Maha That Temple Open daily until sunset. Admission is free of charge.
  • Paya Sri Satta Nakarat Monuments. Open daily until sunset.
  • Thai-Vietnamese Friendship Village. Open from 08:00 to 17:00. Admission is free of charge.

 

Transfer to Venues

Mini busses or cars will be provided each morning and each evening from Official Hotels. Timetable to be announced.
