Boat trip to Prek Toal floating village breakfast on boat North West of the Tonle Sap. Within the Tonle Sap Biosphere Reserve, the Prek Toal Core Area was set aside for special protection, conservation and management of natural resources for long term use and sustainable development by future generations.  Ecotourism is a vital component of that effort as it generates revenue for conservation, offers villagers alternative livelihoods possibilities restricting the need to engage in environmentally destructive practises, emphasises the social, cultural and economic value of preserving the surrounding environment and promotes cultural exchange and understanding between the visitors and the villagers.

Visit of the Environmental Research Station offering at its top the highest vantage from which the view the surrounding lake, river and flora. The guide will give a presentation on the extraordinary hydrological, ecological and geographical aspects of the Tonle Sap Lake. 
 
Cross the river to visit the Saray Platform home to the water hyacinth weaving cooperative.  There are now almost 40 women implicated in the Saray project, creating beautiful, high quality bags, mats, home furnishings and personal accessories for the local, tourist and international markets.  20 more to be trained in 2010 through Osmose project.
Lunch will then be taken at the adjoining Community Restaurant, whose staff has been specially trained by Sala Bai renown for the quality of its cuisine.

Return to Siem Reap, guests should be back at their hotel by 2 to 3pm.
